Im Zuge knapper werdender öffentlicher Mittel sind Kulturinstitutionen zwar heutzutage regelrecht gezwungen, nachfrage- und wettbewerbsorientiert zu handeln. Das künstlerische „Produkt“ selbst, das kann z.B. eine Theateraufführung, ein Konzert, oder aber der Unterricht in einer Musik- oder Kunstschule sein, darf jedoch nicht verändert oder angetastet werden.
